DD's Annual Report for 2013

The annual report contains an account of DD's activities in 2013 and reports on the results achieved in relation to the performance contract.

IIn 2013, DD made significant progress in the Decommissioning of Denmark's largest research reactor, DR3. The necessary preparations have now been made to enable the lifting of the 22-ton steel plug on the reactor tank during 2014.

We have commenced decommissioning the Fuel fabrication plant, where fuel rods for the DR3 reactor were manufactured. The work is progressing promisingly, and we anticipate completion by the end of 2014.

At the Hot Cells, work continued on the detailed planning of work processes, as well as the development, design, and manufacturing of tool prototypes. The project is technically and executively very complex, which has delayed the original timelines.

Regarding waste management, it is noteworthy that an EU tender has been conducted with the aim of volume reduction of radioactive iron and combustible material.
