We are now seeking a full service adviser for the task of designing and constructing a new, upgraded storage facility for radioactive waste at Risø.

Danish Decommissioning has just tendered the assignment as full service adviser for the construction project. Among other things, the tender notice states that:

• The storage facility must have an area of 6-10,000 square meters and a building height of up to 15 meters above ground.
• The floor must be situated at least 4 meters above sea level (elevation +4), thereby ensuring the building is protected against high water.
• A portion of the building will be an enclosed structure with climate control, while another section will function as a so-called cold shed (a covered area).
• The entire complex will feature a uniform facade and present itself as a single building. It must be architecturally refined to minimize visual impact, without compromising the safety, technical, and operational requirements of the structure.
