06 May Open house - on radioactive waste
In 2018, the Danish Parliament decided to establish a new, upgraded storage facility for Denmark's radioactive waste at Risø. The waste will be stored here until 2073 at the latest. Come to an information meeting about the plans.
DDanish Decommissioning invites the citizens of Roskilde to an open house with a tour and an information meeting on Thursday 2 June 2022.
Programme for 2 June
18.00 - 19.30: Danish Decommissioning will hold an open house and offer guided tours of, among other things, the current stockpiles, the desired location of the new storage facility and the uranium ore stockpiles. (The age limit for access to the storage facilities is: minimum 14 years.)
19.30 - approx. 21.15: After a short break with sandwich service, the orientation meeting will start at approx. 19.45. Representatives of Ministry of Higher Education and Science and Danish Decommissioning will talk about the plans for radioactive waste in both the short and longer term. Afterwards there will be ample opportunity to ask questions.
Registration deadline has now expired. Participants will receive an email with practical information a few days before the event.
