On Friday, March 14, Danish Decommissioning hosted a visit from both the Minister for Societal Security and Emergency Management, Torsten Shack Pedersen, and Roskilde's Mayor, Tomas Breddam, for a dialogue concerning radioactive waste.

The agenda included a presentation, dialogue, and a guided tour when the Minister for Societal Security and Emergency Management, Torsten Schack Pedersen, and Roskilde's Mayor, Tomas Breddam, visited Danish Decommissioning (DD).

Today's Program
The visit, lasting ninety minutes, focused on the dialogue concerning the radioactive waste managed by DD. This included both immediate tasks and those projected for DD in the future.

Among other topics, the dialogue centered on the development of the new upgraded storage facility (NOL), which will store radioactive waste until the long-term final repository is established. Discussions also covered the path towards establishing a final repository, which is scheduled to be ready by 2073 at the latest to receive and contain radioactive waste.

The program commenced with a presentation of DD, covering both ongoing and completed projects, and a comprehensive introduction to the management of radioactive waste.

Subsequently, a guided tour of the site was conducted, with particular emphasis on the storage facilities, and continuous opportunities for dialogue were provided among all parties.

Thank you for today
Following the completion of the tour and the day's conclusion, Tomas Breddam and Torsten Schack Pedersen expressed gratitude for the hospitality, and DD for the visit.
