02 Sep New organizational structure at Danish Decommissioning as of September 1
Danish Decommissioning is changing its organisation to enhance progress on priority tasks.
Steen Nordstrøm, Director at DD, discusses the new organisation and its background:
"Since I took up my position as director, we in the management team have worked together to ensure that we are organized efficiently in relation to our highest priority project tasks. The new organization will ensure that we achieve our goals and make progress on the projects, while at the same time bringing together important tasks relating to radiation protection, work environment security, work environment emergency preparedness in two expert units."
Consolidation of tasks under the new units
The organisational change means that DD transitions from 8 to 6 units, and several units are changing their names to enhance clarity regarding responsibilities within the units.
An organisational relocation of the units is also taking place, so that the 3 units responsible for project tasks: Development, Planning, and Execution, are consolidated under the Director.
Tasks related to radiation protection, quality assurance, work environment contact with authorities are gathered under the Director of Radiation Protection, work environment Quality.
Tasks concerning security, emergency preparedness, IT, and facility management are consolidated under the Technical Director.
In addition, the Technical Director continues to have a special task as a nuclear expert.
