04 May Preliminary studies for final repository completed
Conclusions and recommendations from the preliminary studies have been published on the Ministry of Interior and Health's website. Among other findings, 22 suitable areas are identified, and 6 are recommended for the repository's location. This comprehensive material has now been handed over to an inter-ministerial working group, which will continue work on the establishment and siting of the final repository. A press briefing will be held at DD on Thursday, May 5th, at 10 AM, where attendees can pose detailed technical questions to DD, SIS, and GEUS, and selected facilities will be showcased.
TThe preliminary studies for a final repository for radioactive waste have now been completed. On Wednesday, May 4, representatives from the Danish Parliament were presented with the conclusions of these preliminary studies at a meeting at the Ministry of Interior and Health, attended by the three contributors.

Press Briefing: Thursday, May 5, 10:00 AM
There will be an opportunity to ask in-depth technical questions to DD, SIS, and GEUS during a press briefing, which will be held at DD, Frederiksborggade 399, Roskilde. Attendance must be by 9:45 AM.
The three preliminary studies cover:
- DD: Repository Concepts (waste, safety analyses, and economics)
- SIS: Transport Studies
- GEUS: Geological studies of suitable Danish localities for the repository
