Occupational health and safety statement 2011

In 2011, prevention efforts have again focused on increasing the frequency of reporting near misses. The aim was to double the number from 10 to 20. A total of 14 reports were received.

D. DD publishes an annual health and safety statement containing DD 1992 and 1994, the Commission will present a report on new initiatives and on projects which have posed particular challenges in this area during the year.

In 2011, the prevention service again focused on increasing the reporting rate for near-casualties. The goal was to double the number from 10 to 20. A total of 14 reports were received. The effort will continue in 2012.

There have been eight accidents at work during the year which fortunately were not serious and did not cause absences. (The targets for 2012 are again zero absenteeism)

The cleaning of the Hot Cell plant has due to the complexity of the plant presented particular challenges in the field of occupational safety and health. Among other things, some of the work operations have had to be rehearsed in a non-radioactive environment before they were carried out.
