29 Jun Tours of the Risø site

The next three Thursdays in July, you can take a tour of the Risø site and get an impression of the former research centre. The tours will take place regardless of the weather on the following dates: 3 July, 10 July and 17 July. Registration is required.

T The tours in the Risø area last from 14:00 to 16:00, and they are guided by the Danish De commissioning communication advisor. Along the way, you will hear about the history of the research centre until it was closed down and what was going on in the various buildings we pass. Among other things, we pass by the three reactor buildings, the laboratories and the production hall for fuel rods. We also tell you about our task and how far we have come in running the experimental facilities.

The tours are done outdoors and we don't get into the buildings. There are no special requirements for attire, but we must go a part, so put on good footwear.

With very few exceptions, it is permitted to photograph anywhere in the Risø area. Nature is beautiful and the bird life in Bleed Nor and the fjord is rich and varied, so please bring camera and/or binoculars.
