Status of Nuclear Safety

A new status report affirms DD's activities.

DThe nuclear regulatory authorities (The Danish Health Authority and The Danish Emergency Management Agency) have for the first time published a status report on nuclear safety in Denmark. Henceforth, such a report will be issued every three years.

The report primarily details Danish Decommissioning's activities, and the comprehensive assessment notably concludes that:
"The decommissioning of nuclear facilities within the Risø area is progressing as scheduled and in compliance with prevailing national and international requirements for safety and radiation protection. Further advancements in decommissioning are increasingly contingent upon the selection of a long-term solution for the management of Danish radioactive waste."
