Contact Forum Visits DD

On August 25th, the Contact Forum, established with representatives from key stakeholders, held its second meeting concerning a long-term solution for Denmark's radioactive waste.

This time, the meeting took place at Danish Decommissioning, followed by a guided tour. Here, representatives from citizen groups and environmental organizations, among others, were able to visit the two temporary storage facilities for low- and intermediate-level waste, and the tour also passed by the stockpiles of ore from Kvanefjeld and the tailings ponds containing residues from old uranium extraction experiments.
