The Danish Decommissioning Annual Report 2018 has now been approved and signed by the Danish Agency for Institutions and Educational Support.
In the past year, DD has reached important milestones such as the removal of the internal parts of Danish Reactor 3 and the rough cleaning of all six cells in the Hot Cell facility. A project description for the decommissioning of the last nuclear facility at Risø, the waste treatment plant, has been submitted for approval to the nuclear regulatory authorities. The new tasks resulting from the parliamentary decision B 90 of May 2018 have also been started.
Overall, the professional results are assessed to be satisfactory in relation to the resources used and reprioritisation during the year. The financial result for 2018 was a profit of DKK 3.7 million (against a deficit of DKK 1.7 m in 2017).
