29 May A European Expert Group
Representatives from 18 countries met in Denmark from May 22nd to 24th to exchange experiences on radioactive waste management.
TThe Club of (Waste Management) Agencies is a forum that has been operational for over three decades. Semiannually, waste management operators from European nations convene in a confidential environment to deliberate on diverse aspects of waste management. These discussions encompass topics from the progress of international collaborations to emerging technologies and each nation's advancement of a long-term solution for radioactive waste.
The hosting responsibility rotates, and at this 67th meeting, it was Danish Decommissioning's turn to host. The exchange of experience among the 28 participants took place over the first two days at a hotel in central Copenhagen, and on May 24th, a visit to Risø was conducted. This winter, the Club of Agencies will meet again, this time in Slovenia.
