The Agency for Institutions and Educational Support has approved the objectives and results plan for what Danish Decommissioning is to achieve in the current year.
WWith the adoption of parliamentary resolution B 90 in 2018, DD was assigned new tasks that extend many years into the future. Consequently, the objective in parliamentary resolution B 48, stating that nuclear regulatory authorities can release the Risø areas for unrestricted use by 2023 at the latest, can no longer be met.
A significant part of our goal by 2020 relates to the task of building a new, upgraded storage facility that can house all the radioactive waste until 2073 at the latest. The expectation is that this stock will be available for use in January 2023.
