The Board of Institutions and Educational Support has approved the objectives and results plan for what Danish Decommissioning should achieve in the current year.
M With the adoption in 2018 of Folketing resolution B90, DD added new tasks that extend many years into the future. Thus, the objective of Folketing resolution B48 that the nuclear regulators can release the land on Risø for unlimited use by 2023 can no longer be achieved.
A significant part of our goal by 2020 relates to the task of building a new, upgraded storage facility that can house all the radioactive waste until 2073 at the latest. The expectation is that this stock will be available for use in January 2023.
