The working environment 2019

Read about the efforts and results DD has achieved in 2019 to maintain a good work environment. Due to the current shutdown, the report is published later than usual.

U In addition to the conventional work environment in the DD we are also working with materials that emit ionising radiation or are radioactively contaminated.

As an example of our particular challenges, this year's OSH report describes how we have addressed the need to handle large pieces of radioactive waste and divide it into smaller pieces so that it can be stored in containers. Our new declassifier facility allows us to carry out this task in a responsible and sound manner.

In relation to radiation and nuclear safety, the report on safety and health at work is that it has also been satisfactory in 2019. The individual radiation doses to staff have all been below the permitted annual dose limits and the prescribed dose bonds. All releases of radioactive substances into the environment from DD 'its nuclear facilities have been below the reporting and emission limits set by the authorities. There have been no incidents that could otherwise affect the environment.

Compared to the conventional work environment is the assessment that the overall result in 2019 is less satisfactory as the target of zero accidents at work was not achieved.
