DD has purchased a Brokk demolition robot, and these days it can be seen at the Entreprenør- og Håndværksmesse 2015 in Messecenter Herning.
E Erenfred Pedersen, from whom we bought the robot, has chosen to exhibit it at the EH15 fair. Subsequently, we will use it to mill concrete from the dr3 reactor façade. The concrete is reinforced with tiny steel balls, and it requires a powerful machine to mill it off. The robot will be contaminated with radioactive dust, so once it enters the reactor hall, it won't come out again until we're done. Then it will be handled as radioactive waste.
The Brokk can be seen here in the Danish Decommissioning Workshop Hall just outside Denmark's largest research reactor DR3.
