Oct 15 Citizens' meeting on new storage facility
Come to the citizens' meeting and open house on 11 November about the new, upgraded storage facility to be built on Risø. Denmark's radioactive waste must be stored until 2073 at the latest.
DDanish Decommissioning invites you to a public meeting on Monday 11 November from 19:00 to 21:00 at Risø. The main purpose of the meeting is to invite your suggestions on issues that should be assessed in a forthcoming report on the impact of the new layer on the environment. The meeting will be preceded by an open house with guided tours.
Program
5pm - 7pm: Danish Decommissioning will hold an open house and offer tours of the current stockpiles, the desired location of the new storage facility and the now covered uranium ore bunkers.
19 - 21: Citizens' meeting. Starts with a series of short presentations from, among others, the Mayor of Roskilde, the Danish EPA and Danish Decommissioning. The project is presented, the processes for the environmental assessment and the local plan, an overall timetable and your opportunities to be involved. After the presentations, you can walk around the stands and ask questions about the various topics. Then there will be a joint round-up.
