Over the past month, Danish Decommissioning has been undergoing a gradual reopening, after, as a state-owned enterprise, we had everything except emergency services and critical functions shut down since December 9.
For over a year, a large project organisation has been working on plans for a new, upgraded storage facility for radioactive waste at Risø. These efforts have now resulted in a detailed project proposal.
After almost five months of closure of DD, some radioactive waste has been piled up around the country. Therefore, from 4 May we will again receive waste.
